Chart that asks who, what, when, where, why, and howCreating a course outline helps in determining how you will disseminate the course materials and in planning the type of activities your students will complete in order to meet the objectives.  A course outline is a working document that will change as you develop your course and can be created in many different formats.  You may prefer to use a table, a mindmap, PowerPoint slides, or a numbered list.

Course Outline Template

We’ve created a course outline template to use at the beginning of a course development project. First, you use it to develop your course and module objectives, then use those objectives to outline the different topics in your course. Putting together a course outline before working in Moodle can save you a lot of time and help to ensure alignment with is supported by Quality Matters.
