Poster Printing

OIT has a large scale plotter available for poster printing. The plotter is located in the OIT main offices on the downtown campus.  There are a variety of poster sizes and paper types to choose front.  To have a poster printed, please submit your poster here.

Computer Labs

Computer labs equipped with desktop computers and networked printers are located across campus and are accessed by using a Windows Active Directory (AD) username and password. Each student is given a $24 printing allowance each semester which can be increased at the Service Center. Personal laptops can access the network via ports across campus, or wirelessly in classroom and group study spaces.

New Snell: 239, 241
ERC: 2nd Floor Loft
Rowley: 142

Linux/Windows Labs:
Science Center: 334 (ITL)

Student Printing

OIT has installed 5 printers available in the following areas:

• CAMP 171 (Black and white only)
• CAMP 163 (Large scale plotter)
• TAC second floor computer lab (Black and white only)
• New Snell outside of 239 (Black and white)
• New Snell outside of 239 (Color)

• When your account is created, you are given a $24 credit towards printing per semester.
• When that initial $24 credit is extinguished, you will need to add funds to your Pcounter account at the Service Center
• For print jobs sent to the CADPLOTTER (large scale printing), you will need to call the Service Center to release your print job.

Standard B/W 8.5X11 — 8 cents per page (16 cents for double sided)
Color 8.5X11 — 75 cents per page
Color large scale plotter — 75 cents per square foot

Large Format Color Printing

OIT has a large scale plotter available for Faculty and Staff printing. The plotter is located in CAMP 163. You must be logged into a public access PC with your AD username to be eligible to print. Your job will be placed on hold when it is submitted to the CADPLOT queue. Please contact the Service Center to submit payment for your print job, they will credit your account and release your job for printing.

Public Access Linux (AFS)

Campus constituents are granted access to a public access linux host (polaris) which is generally used as a conduit to AFS. AFS (Andrew File System) is a distributed networked file system which uses a set of trusted servers to present a homogeneous, location-transparent file name space to client workstations. AFS is accessed primarily through the campus Linux workstations and servers, but can be accessed from Windows clients too.

Printing

The Office of Information Technology provides a number of high-speed laser printers located in each public access computing facility across campus. All students and faculty receive a printing quota on public access network printers. Pages printed to these public access printers are deducted from the users print quota. This quota resets at the beginning of each semester. Additional funds may be added to your printer quota by visiting the Service Center.
