The Clarkson University
VPN (CUVPN) provides a secure connection between your remote computer and the campus network. In order to use CUVPN you must have a valid Active Directory account and password.
Windows
- Download the CUVPN installation file and then double click it to begin the installation process.
- At the completion of the installation, you will see a new icon in your desktop called OpenVPN GUI.
- For Windows Vista/7 Users, Right Click this icon and choose the “Run as Administrator” option. For XP users, just double click the icon.
- You should see a new icon on your task bar (next to clock). This icon looks like two red computers with a globe.
- Right-click on this icon and select "Connect."
- You will then be prompted for your Active Directory username and password.
- When the connection has completed successfully, you will notice that the task bar icon changes to two green computers with a globe.

- Click on the tunnelblick icon and select "Clarkson".
